The creation of Helen Of Troy houseboat is culmination of four long years of hard work and dedication of our founder Late A.Aziz Surma along with over a hundred of Kashmiri artisans and craftsmen. It was the dream of our founder to create a master piece of a houseboat where Visitors can enjoy the heavenly views of the lake and mountains in splendour and luxury. The late Mr.Surma who came from a prominent family in houseboat industry, dedicated his entire life to the development of tourism in Kashmir. He worked tirelessly with all the major tour companies in our country and in United States, Europe etc to promote Kashmir as a major tourist destination. Mr. Surma was greatly inspired by the famous couplet of Mughal Emperor Jahangir that Kashmir is the paradise on earth and it was only befitting that creation of this beautiful houseboat by the late Mr. Surm was a his humble tribute to the above famous lines.
